Surface Area Porosity Analyzer: Accurately Unlocking the Adsorption Potential of Diatomaceous Earth

In materials science and industrial applications, diatomaceous earth, as a natural porous material, has attracted much attention due to its unique physical and chemical properties. It is not only an efficient adsorbent that can be used to remove organic matter, metal ions, and harmful gases, but also widely used as a catalyst carrier due to its good thermal stability and acid resistance. The precise measurement of specific surface area and pore structure is the key to evaluating the performance of diatomaceous earth.

The porous structure of diatomaceous earth endows it with excellent adsorption capacity. The larger the specific surface area, the stronger the adsorption performance. Research has shown that after acid treatment, the bulk density of refined soil decreases, while the specific pore volume and specific surface area significantly increase, while the main pore radius changes little. This indicates that acid treatment removed soluble impurities and further optimized the pore structure. After acid treatment, the specific surface area of the original soil increased from 64.9 m ²/g to 65.1 m ²/g, and the specific pore volume increased from 0.87 ml/g to 1.40 ml/g. This structural optimization is crucial for improving the adsorption efficiency of diatomaceous earth.

The specific surface area and porosity analyzer adopts advanced physical adsorption technology, which can accurately measure the specific surface area, pore volume, and pore size distribution of materials.

The process of using SSA-7000 to test the specific surface area and pore structure of diatomaceous earth is as follows:

1. Sampling: Weigh a certain amount of sample (100-500 mg) into a sample tube and record the weight of the tube and sample.

2. Preprocessing: Load the sample into the pre-processing unit and set the processing time and temperature according to the properties of the sample. After processing, record the weight of the dried sample.

3. On machine testing: Connect the processed sample to the instrument host, set the sample weight and analysis mode, and the instrument will automatically complete the test and save the data.

The Beijing Builder SSA-7000 pore size and specific surface area analyzer is a high-performance device designed specifically for the characterization of porous materials. It can not only analyze micropores (0.35-2nm), mesopores (2-50nm), and macropores (50-500nm), but also conduct gas adsorption kinetics research.

1. High Precision Measurement: Advanced BET theory and multi-point adsorption method are adopted to ensure high precision and repeatability of specific surface area measurement.

2. Multi Functional analysis: It can not only measure the specific surface area, but also analyze the pore size distribution of micropores, mesopores, and macropores, providing comprehensive pore structure information.

3. Automated oOperation: Equipped with intelligent software, supporting automated sample processing, data collection, and analysis, from sample preprocessing to result output, the entire process is automated.

4. Quick Testing: Optimized testing process and efficient vacuum system significantly shorten testing time and improve experimental efficiency.

5. User Friendly Interface: intuitive operation interface, supporting one click operation and automated data processing, even beginners can quickly get started.
